RFMLR-CAM BLOG SERIES COMPETITION ON EMERGING TRENDS AND DEVELOPMENT IN COMPETITION LAW

The RFMLR Board is delighted to announce the successful completion of the RFMLR-CAM Panel Discussion on the topic: “Emerging Trends and Developments in the Competition Law Regime” held on March 22nd, 2024 with an impressive panel of high esteem including Mr Dhruv Rajain and Mr Krithi Srinivas, Partners at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, one of the most highly rated legal firms in India. The firm is recognised for its unparalleled expertise and commitment to delivering top-tier legal services, especially in the competition department. 

 

The session was incredibly insightful, delving into the ever-dynamic competition law trends as observed in contemporary India. The eminent partners imparted their knowledge about the newly introduced Deal Value Threshold, the “Leniency Plus” Regime, and the remedies against the hub and spoke cartels. Additionally, the antecedent issues regarding the jurisdictional conflicts between the Competition Commission of India with other sectoral regulators were also mentioned and explored by the Panel. 

 

The profound expertise and active engagement of the panelists significantly enriched participants' comprehension of India's dynamic and evolving competition law landscape. Their insightful perspectives, practical experiences, and the generous sharing of best practices provided an invaluable vision which was enlightening for the participants and the Board alike.
