ABOUT RFMLR

The RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review (RFMLR) is a bi-annual, student-run, double-blind peer-reviewed law journal published by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab since 2014, serving as a premier platform for high-impact scholarship in the field of business and commercial laws. RFMLR is consistently ranked among the ten most accessed law school journals by SCC Online and is indexed on platforms such as SCC Online, Hein Online, J-Gate and Manupatra.

The Editorial Board also operates The RFMLR Blog. The Blog aims to provide a platform for the expression of novel ideas and analysis of contemporary issues in business and commercial laws. In addition to the RFMLR Call for Blogs (Open Theme), the Editorial Board periodically releases theme-specific Call for Blogs to advance the discourse on select areas of commercial laws. Previously, the Editorial Board has invited blogs on Digital Commerce and Fintech Law, Corporate Governance, Competition Law, Telecom Law and Aviation Law, under the theme-specific blog series.​ The Editorial Board also manages The RFMLR Blog, which offers timely analysis and discourse on emerging issues through open and theme-specific calls, and the “Au Courant” newsletter, which delivers monthly insights and news updates on financial and corporate law.

RFMLR drives academic excellence and industry engagement through collaborations with leading legal experts and firms, including the RGNUL-Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. Conclave, which features expert panels and student paper presentations on pivotal business law topics such as arbitration, IT litigation, banking, and insolvency. The RFMLR Leadership Summit, organized with the General Counsels’ Association of India, convenes distinguished general counsels and thought leaders to address strategic challenges in corporate and financial law. Additionally, RFMLR’s Demystifying M&A Series offers targeted workshops led by industry professionals to provide critical practical insights into mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance.​
